“You know very well the position of Russia, it has been repeatedly voiced both at the highest level and by our minister.

We consider Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taiwan and the next visit of US congressmen there provocative," TASS quoted him as saying.

He stressed that such steps by the United States do not contribute to the stabilization of the situation and warm up tensions in the Asia-Pacific region.

“And, of course, this inevitably affects the economy,” he added.

Earlier, Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui thanked Moscow for the support rendered after the visit of the Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan.
