RIA Novosti: US and European countries requested a UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine on August 24

This was reported to RIA Novosti by a source in the UN Security Council.

“The United States, Albania, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Norway requested a UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine on August 24,” the source said.

Earlier, a meeting of the UN Security Council was held on the situation with the shelling of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

According to Dmitry Polyansky, Russian Deputy Representative to the UN, no one at the UN Security Council meeting supported Kyiv's version of the shelling of the ZNPP.
