Wang Chenyang, director of the Department of Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, revealed at the meeting that my country has 42 intangible cultural heritage items included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List, ranking first in the world in total.

  Wang Chenyang said that in recent years, the national intangible cultural heritage front has adhered to the concept of "intangible cultural heritage for the people, shared by the people", and strives to carry forward the value of the intangible cultural heritage of the times, show the style of the times, promote the better integration of intangible cultural heritage into modern life, and better serve economic and social development and To meet the growing needs of the people for a better life.

At present, the State Council has announced five batches of 1,557 national-level intangible cultural heritage representative projects; the Ministry of Culture and Tourism has identified five batches of 3,062 national-level representative inheritors of intangible cultural heritage, and established 23 national-level cultural and ecological protection (experimental) areas , to support the recording of 1,805 national representative inheritors of intangible cultural heritage.

In order to give full play to the unique role of intangible cultural heritage mainly based on traditional crafts in driving urban and rural employment and increasing income, and promote the effective connection between poverty alleviation and rural revitalization, as of June 2022, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism will support the establishment of intangible cultural heritage in various regions. There are more than 2,500 workshops, of which more than 1,400 are established in poverty alleviation counties.

  Wang Chenyang introduced that this time, the 7th China Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo will be held in a combination of online and offline methods, to comprehensively display the achievements of China's intangible cultural heritage protection since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of my country, and to welcome the victory of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Intangible cultural heritage plays an important role in major national strategies such as rural revitalization and the construction of the Grand Canal Cultural Belt. It builds a platform for display and promotion for the majority of intangible heritage inheritors and intangible cultural heritage workshops, focusing on traditional Chinese tea-making techniques and customs. Cultural coordination drives the development of tea industry and tea technology.

  It is reported that the theme of this year's intangible cultural heritage expo is "connecting modern life and blooming charming brilliance", which will be held in Jinan, Shandong Province from August 25 to 29, 2022.
