Sawiris is the reason
The beginning was the publication of the newspaper, “Al-Masry Al-Youm” newspaper, about Bakri’s demand that the Public Prosecutor investigate businessman Naguib Sawiris on charges of inciting against the state, spreading false information, and setting fire to a country facing challenges from inside and outside, against the background of a tweet in which Sawiris said that he would only receive condolences. After learning the truth behind the fire of the Abu Sefein Church in the Imbaba area, west of Cairo, which killed about 40 people and injured dozens.
Mubarak the son commented on the news of "Al-Masry Al-Youm" by mocking Bakri's request to investigate the publication of false news, and accused him of transmitting many lies about his father in a book of his.
The Egyptian businessman, Naguib Sawiris, entered the line by publishing a tweet in which he ridiculed Bakri's positions and his political volatility by supporting all political regimes during the past years.
The controversy between Bakri and Mubarak the son intensified after a tweet by Bakri addressed to Alaa Mubarak, in which he said that he would not forget his presence and his brother Gamal's condolences to his mother in 2014, and that he excused him in his defense of Sawiris and knows the reasons well.
The son of the late president, Ali Bakri, responded sarcastically, saying that he is "of little origin, even in the funeral", against the background of Bakri's confession that he did not attend the funeral of Mubarak the father, and the matter developed into mutual accusations of corruption and political hypocrisy.
