According to reports, Austin revealed that the symptoms are mild and will be isolated at home in the next few days.
He also said he last saw President Biden on July 29.
This is Austin's second confirmed case of COVID-19 this year.
He had tested positive for the new coronavirus in early January.
He was fully vaccinated and received a booster shot in early October last year.
