The Ministry of Defense called the request of Britain to fly a reconnaissance aircraft over Russia a provocation

It is noted that London has filed an application with a flight plan for the flight of a reconnaissance aircraft RC-135.

“We consider this action as a deliberate provocation,” the Russian defense ministry said.

The Ministry of Defense emphasized that the Russian Aerospace Forces were tasked with preventing violations of Russian airspace.

The ministry also said that all possible consequences of this provocation would lie with the British side.
