“The fire that moved on August 15 from the forest to the village of the Ust-Donetsk district of the Rostov region damaged 34 buildings,” TASS quoted him as saying.
According to Kurenkov, there were no casualties as a result of the fire.
He also spoke about the forces involved in the elimination of the fire.
“The Be-200ChS amphibious aircraft, the Mi-8 helicopter of the Ministry of Emergency Situations with a spillway device, and also the Il-76 aircraft, which is capable of dropping 42 tons of water on the fire, were involved,” the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations noted.
Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed that rescuers evacuated 65 people from the village.
