A Yemeni military source said that a drone likely to be Emirati targeted, on Monday, several raids on Yemeni army sites on a main road between the governorates of Shabwa and Hadramawt.

The same source added that a soldier was killed and two wounded in the bombing that targeted a military checkpoint.

He also explained that since last Wednesday, drones believed to be Emirati have intervened on the line of confrontations in Shabwa governorate, and that this intervention enabled the Emirati-backed forces to control the city of Ataq after the government forces withdrew from it.

In a parallel context, military sources said that the Emirati-backed Giants forces took control of the strategic Nadah camp in Shabwa governorate, eastern Yemen, after battles with the Yemeni army forces.

The sources indicated that the forces of the giants reinforced their positions in preparation for the transfer of battles to the vicinity of the Al-Oqla oil fields.

The Emirati-backed Giants forces had taken control of a number of points and gatherings of the Yemeni government forces along the main road between the cities of Ataq in Shabwa Governorate and Al-Abr in Hadhramaut Governorate, after targeting them with artillery and heavy weapons.

A few days ago, the head of the Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen, Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, put the Yemeni people before the reality of the situation in Shabwa governorate, and the efforts of the Leadership Council to contain the violent confrontations that took place in the city of Ataq between government forces and other Emirati-backed forces.

Al-Alimi said - in a speech - that he had taken a number of measures;

Including the dismissal of some leaders in the province, in addition to the formation of a committee headed by the Minister of Defense and the membership of the Minister of Interior, to investigate the facts and determine the responsibility of the local authority and military and security leaders, and submit the results to the Presidential Command Council to take appropriate legal measures.
