He is one of those who contribute to Sweden being self-sufficient in eggs.

But he testifies to a business in severe economic headwinds.

- The prices of feed, energy, fuel, transport and packaging are some of the costs that have gone up, he says.

50 öre more expensive per egg

To compensate for some of the runaway costs, he has raised his selling prices by 50 öre per egg.

He has also applied, but has not been informed, about being allowed to take part in the Swedish crisis support for the poultry sector.

- The support is not very important, but it means that we have been able to postpone the last price increase, says Peter Fransson.
