Just before 7 p.m., the rescue service was called to Källä-Knippla outside Öckerö in Gothenburg's archipelago.

There was a fire in a building with a restaurant, grocery store and apartments.

The fire was fully developed and had spread to several of the apartments.

- We are working hard to get the fire under control and reduce the risk of spreading, says Betina Svensson, the emergency and control center of the greater Gothenburg rescue service.

It is unclear what caused the fire

The fire service has nine units and three management units on site to extinguish the fire.

- Can't say how big the risk of spread is, but the fire is fully out, says Betina Svensson.

At the moment there is no forecast for how long the extinguishing work will take as it is still burning and it is still unclear what caused the fire.
