It was revealed that Supreme Court candidate Oh Seok-joon had been missing out on the money his spouse had lent to his daughter for one year in his official property report.

Candidate Oh explained that he had borrowed money and that he received interest every month, but a question remains.

This is the exclusive report by reporter Ko Jung-hyun.

<Reporter> This

is a public official property report registered by Supreme Court candidate Oh Seok-jun last year.

162 million won lent by the spouse was newly registered.

According to the personnel hearings submitted to the National Assembly after becoming a Supreme Court candidate, the loan was made in April 2019.

You have to register the bond from the 2020 property declaration the following year, but you skipped one year and reported it from 2021.

The Public Officials Ethics Act allows public officials to request dismissal or disciplinary action if they fail to report their property.

On the loan, it is written that the eldest daughter of Candidate Oh will pay interest at 2% per annum for 7 years.

It is possible that the date of the additional sale of the eldest daughter's current residence and the time of borrowing the money almost overlapped and was used as funds to purchase the apartment.

[Real estate agency: At that time (sale price) was quite high, so there were unsold units, but they were sold out immediately.

(Through additional sale?) Yes.]

Experts point out that even considering that it is a family loan, the back digit of the resident number is hidden and the borrowing card is poorly written, such as not receiving a confirmed date from an authorized agency.

[Cho Jung-heon/Standing expert member of the Gyeongseo -

reun Institute: The resident registration number is only in the first digit, and the address is not listed.

It is true that it was written in April, and interest was paid every month.”

To the SBS reporter's request to disclose the interest details, Candidate Oh's side replied, "If relevant documents are requested at the personnel hearing, we will submit them."
