  About an hour after the launch, the solar wings of the Wentian experimental module were successfully deployed, and the team members' hearts were finally released.

"The deployment of the solar wings is the most critical event in the early stage of our orbit. Only when it is realized can the aircraft fly smoothly and safely."   Zhang Qiao was born in a military family in Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province. Influenced by his family, he dreamed of spaceflight since he was a child.

During his studies, Zhang Qiao achieved outstanding results and was always a "child of other people" all the way.

His excellent grades gave him the opportunity to go abroad for study and exchange. Facing the "olive branch" thrown by foreign institutions, he was unmoved. On the journey of building a Chinese space station and realizing the dream of a powerful country in space.

  On March 30, 2012, the China Space Station officially shifted from the program demonstration stage to the program design stage. The next day, Zhang Qiao officially joined the space station designer team of the Fifth Academy of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

  Since then, Zhang Qiao has continued to cultivate in his professional field, consolidating the professional foundation, actively participating in the design of the space station, and quickly achieved some achievements in the field of aerospace propulsion and complex analysis and calculation of large spacecraft.

  As the "big housekeeper" of the Wentian experimental cabin, Zhang Qiao is very familiar with the whole cabin technical scheme, key technical indicators, risk control points, and the whole cabin development process.

With the continuous deepening of the research and development work, the overall engineering department has continuously increased the tasks and functions of the Wentian experimental cabin, especially after the cabin design state has been basically finalized, it has proposed "new function divisions", "launch according to 23 tons" and "launch according to 23 tons".   Since the AIT (General Assembly, Integration, Test) center of the space station is located in Tianjin, Zhang Qiao and his colleagues often need to leave Beijing for work in Tianjin.

At that time, the work schedule was very tight, and overtime on holidays was a habit.

Since Zhang Qiao became the "big housekeeper" of Wentian's experimental cabin in 2017, on the basis of reasonably arranging on-duty personnel, he will take the initiative to rush to Tianjin on duty every holiday, so that other colleagues can reunite with their families as much as possible.

  In order to ensure that the launch is foolproof, Zhang Qiao and his colleagues conducted a lot of rehearsals and prepared many countermeasures.

  Excited the night before launch

  Today, the Wentian experimental module has successfully entered a long-term on-orbit operation state.

But recalling the unforgettable 36 hours before and after the launch, Zhang Qiao still couldn't hide his excitement.

  "The night before the launch, I tossed and turned and barely slept. Thinking that the 'child' was going to go out and go to the battlefield, I was in a mess." Zhang Qiao recalled.

  3 hours before launch, the whole cabin is powered on normally, the equipment is in good condition, and everything is ready.

  "When the countdown to the launch was 5 minutes, I cleared my mind again, leaving only the normal flight procedure and the failure plan for the ascent segment in my mind, quietly waiting for the moment of launch." Zhang Qiao recalled.

  "About 1 hour after the launch into orbit, the solar wing sail board successfully completed a deployment, and it has a bottom! After another 13 hours, the Wentian experimental module successfully docked with the Tianhe core module and hit the bullseye. Then, I saw the solar wing. The windsurfing board is deployed for the second time, the power supply is normal, and it is done!" Zhang Qiao said that when he saw that moment, he felt that everything he had paid before was worth it.

  Although he is very busy in the aerospace industry, in his spare time, Zhang Qiao does his best to take on family responsibilities and be a good son, good husband and good father.

No matter how late he gets off work every day, he tries his best to chat with his 6-year-old son, sowing the "seeds" of building a dream spaceflight for him.
