Wattel, 25, crowned in 2021 at the European Championships in Budapest, clocked 56 sec 80, behind Sweden's Louise Hansson (56.66) and ahead of Bosnian Lana Pudar (57.27).
In June, the Frenchwoman became vice-world champion in the 100m butterfly in Budapest behind the American Torri Huske.
