Scholz announced plans to work on the introduction of new sanctions against Russia 

He said this in Oslo during a press conference at a meeting of the Nordic Council.

Scholz called the sanctions imposed on a number of Russians and the Russian economy very effective.

“And we will continue to work in this direction,” TASS quoted him as saying.

Earlier, Scholz said that he could hardly imagine stopping the issuance of Schengen visas to Russians under the new sanctions.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Russian side remains a reliable partner, despite the sanctions, but will not work at a loss with unfriendly countries.
