“Firstly, NSD should not receive any economic benefit from such transactions,” the statement said.

The EC called the approval of transactions with the regulators of the countries in which NSD's foreign counterparties are registered as the second condition.

In June, the National Settlement Depository recognized the imposition of sanctions by the European Union as an emergency.

The EU included the NSD in the new sanctions list on 3 June.
