This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a letter from a number of congressmen representing the committees of the House of Representatives on oversight and intelligence.

“In light of the recent New York Post publication that you left a Senate hearing early to fly on an FBI plane on personal leave, we have questions about whether you are adequately reimbursing taxpayers for using government aircraft on personal purposes," the letter said.

It is noted that the letter refers to several cases of Ray using a departmental aircraft for personal purposes.

The letter also says that some officials are allowed to use government aircraft for personal travel, but they must pay all expenses.

The authors of the letter demanded that the head of the FBI provide by August 29 a report stating that he had paid all expenses.

Earlier, US FBI agents confiscated a phone from Republican Congressman Scott Perry, who is an ally of former US President Donald Trump.
