On Monday, the international military-technical forum "Army-2022" begins its work at the Patriot Exhibition and Convention Center (Kubinka near Moscow).

It will last a week.

The first days of the exhibition are dedicated to the scientific and business program, and from Friday "Army-2022" will be open to the public.

According to the organizers of the forum, "Patriot" will be visited by foreign delegations from 72 states, about 1.5 thousand enterprises and organizations.

Over 28 thousand exhibits will be presented at the exhibition.

Traditionally, the "Army" is not complete without visiting the first persons of the state and the directorate of the largest developers of military equipment.

On August 15, Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in the opening ceremony of the forum and inspect the exhibition grounds of promising models of military equipment.

Army-2022 is being held with the support of leading Russian enterprises and banks.

The general sponsor of the forum is Rosoboronexport, the general financial partner is Novikombank, the general partner is Almaz-Antey Concern VKO and the Russian Helicopters holding.

Extensive program

The Army Forum has been held since 2015.

Its main goals are the improvement of the national military-industrial complex (DIC), the strengthening of military-technical cooperation (MTC) with Russia's foreign partners, and patriotic education.

“The forum promotes the export of Russian high-tech military and dual-use products, clearly demonstrating high efficiency in the implementation of the state policy to equip the army and navy with modern weapons, military and special equipment,” the Patriot CEC website says.

One of the days of Army-2022 will be dedicated to the promotion of Russian-made military products to foreign markets.

Foreign guests at the Alabino training ground and the Kubinka airfield are expected to see export-oriented samples of domestic weapons and equipment.

On the fields of the "Army" contracts will be signed for the supply of products of the Russian defense industry to both state and foreign customers.

As stated earlier in the military department of the Russian Federation, the total cost of agreements with Russian law enforcement agencies will exceed 500 billion rubles.

The total amount of transactions with foreign customers is not called.

As part of Army-2022, an extensive scientific and business program is planned, consisting of 211 events.

The forum will discuss the development of artificial intelligence technologies, power supply for troops, robotics, UAVs, communications, the process of diversifying the defense industry and the situation in the field of import substitution.

As in previous years, this forum will not be complete without a presentation of advanced weapons for the Russian army and Moscow's military-technical cooperation partners.

So, one of the novelties of land technology at Army-2022 is a heavy robotic complex (RTC) based on the BMP-3, which is popular among the troops.

This product is a product of cooperation between the Kurgan Machine-Building Plant and the All-Russian Research Institute "Signal" (Vladimir Region).

The unmanned combat vehicle is designed for fire support of motorized rifle units in the most dangerous directions.

In particular, it can be used in urban areas or lead a column of military equipment.

Russian designers equipped the RTK with the Sinitsa combat module, which consists of a 100-mm artillery gun, a 30-mm automatic cannon, a 7.62-mm cannon and an anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) launcher.

In a recent interview with RIA Novosti, the first deputy general director of Rostec, Vladimir Artyakov, said that the Sinitsa is a modern and efficient weapon system.

“The Sinitsa combat module “sees” the terrain 360 degrees at any time of the day.

It is equipped with an ATGM loading mechanism and an automated digital fire control system.

The combat vehicle can be controlled remotely - using a wearable remote control or a remote control point, ”Artyakov said.

The debutant of the "Army-2022" among the RTK will be the "Marker" complex, developed by the Android Technology NPO with the support of the Advanced Research Foundation (FPI).

The vehicle is a self-contained platform on which a variety of payloads can be mounted, including strike weapons in the form of loitering ammunition (kamikaze drones) and electric missiles.

On paved roads, the Marker is capable of speeds up to 60 km/h, and on rough terrain - up to 45 km/h.

The unmanned complex integrates vision devices, multi-channel tracking and high-precision selective target destruction.

The RTK has already been tested as a security complex at the Vostochny cosmodrome and was tested at the facilities of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

In the future, Marker will “learn” to interact with other autonomous platforms.

Such a group of robots should be able to maneuver when meeting static and dynamic obstacles and navigate in a difficult environment.

New ammo and exoskeleton

Of the latest means of destruction, the Army-2022 will demonstrate the Kh-MD-E multi-purpose short-range homing missile developed by Tactical Missiles Corporation JSC (KTRV).

The peculiarity of the ammunition lies in the fact that it is adapted for use with aviation, marine and unmanned carriers.

The characteristics of the rocket make it possible to destroy a wide range of single small-sized and group objects at any time of the day.

“The missile was developed in three modifications: with a semi-active laser homing head (GOS) - X-MD-E1 index;

with active radar seeker - index Kh-MD-E2;

with a passive radar seeker - index Kh-MD-E3, ”KTRV explained to TASS.

The starting weight of the ammunition is 110 kg, the maximum launch range is 40 km, the weight of the high-explosive fragmentation warhead is 30 kg.

Another premiere of the forum in the segment of means of destruction will be the PDM-MD anti-amphibious mine.

It was developed as part of the Surface development work by specialists from the Central Research Institute of Precision Engineering (TsNIITOCHMASH, part of the Kalashnikov concern).

Ammunition is necessary for the defense of the coastal strip.

“The mine is designed for use in water and air environments, has an intelligent functioning system, is capable of performing tasks in the absence or destruction of external command and control systems,” RIA Novosti quotes Oleg Morozov, General Director of TsNIITOCHMASH.

Also, Kalashnikov will show the ZALA 421-24 quadrocopter at Army-2022.

The drone is able to stay in the air for more than 30 minutes at an altitude of up to 1.5 km, reaching a speed of up to 30 km/h.

The machine is operated by a hand controller.

The communication range with it exceeds 3.5 km.

According to the developer, the quadcopter is invisible to the enemy due to its low acoustic and visual visibility, and is also resistant to the effects of electronic warfare (EW).

As for protective equipment, the prototype of a full-fledged combined-arms exoskeleton, created by Rostec enterprises, will be presented at the Patriot Exhibition and Convention Center.

The product significantly increases the efficiency of a soldier by reducing his energy costs and increasing the accuracy of firing from automatic weapons.

The exoskeleton allows the fighter to hold loads of up to 20 kg in his hands or up to 60 kg on the frame for a long time.

The exoskeleton is based on lightweight and durable modules made of composite materials.

They can be integrated into the equipment of a soldier and combined into one integral system.

“For example, the integrated Torso module can be built into the Bulletproof Vest item of equipment.

This approach simplifies the system of fastening the frame modules to the fighter's body.

It is more convenient and ergonomic.

Again, if necessary, it is easier to perform an emergency reset (of modules. -

),” Vladimir Artyakov explained earlier.

As military observer Alexander Khrolenko said in an interview with RT, Army-2022 will be no less ambitious than in previous years.

According to him, due to the abundance of new products and a wide business program, the forum is of interest to military personnel, specialists, journalists and a wide audience.

Army-2022 promises to be a rich and fruitful forum for both Russian participants and foreign guests.

Given the context of the special operation, the focus this year will be on artificial intelligence technologies, control systems and intelligence tools, including UAVs,” Khrolenko said.

According to the expert, the forum "Army" contributes to the development of the Russian defense industry and the promotion of military products of the Russian Federation to foreign markets.

A similar point of view is shared by military expert Sergei Ishchenko.

According to him, Army-2022 plays an important role as a platform for discussions and demonstration of the achievements of the domestic defense industry.

“This year, a special, if I may say so, flavor to the Army forum is given by the fact that Russia is participating in hostilities.

I think that Russian specialists and their foreign colleagues are very interested in what our defense industry will show, especially in the UAV segment,” the expert concluded.
