On the 15th, the day after the arrival of five U.S. House and Senate members in Taiwan, Chinese fighter jets entered the Taiwan Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) one after another, the Taiwan Central News Agency reported.

Chinese military fighter jets crossed the air defense identification zone (ADIZ) in northern, western and southwestern Taiwan seven times from early morning to 10 am this morning, and the Taiwanese military responded through warning broadcasts, the Taiwan Central News Agency reported.

The news agency said the invasion by Chinese fighter jets appears to be a protest against a US congressional delegation's visit to Taiwan.

The American Association of Taiwan (AIT), the US embassy in Taiwan, announced that a US congressional delegation made up of five members of the House and Senate, including Senator Ed Markey (Democrat), visited Taiwan on the 14th as part of an Indo-Pacific tour. I did.

It has been 11 days since US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan (last 2-3 days) and left.

The delegation will meet with Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen and Foreign Minister Wu Zhao-she on the 15th, and will visit the Taiwan Legislative Council (Parliament) Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee to discuss issues of mutual interest, such as U.S.-Taiwan relations and regional security.

According to the Ministry of National Defense of Taiwan, a total of 888 Chinese military fighters entered the ADIZ this year, including entering Taiwan's ADIZ over 15 days in this month alone.

The Chinese military, which conducted military exercises to block Taiwan in protest against Chairman Pelosi's visit to Taiwan, declared the end of the exercise on the 10th, but vowed to carry out regular patrols in preparation for future battles.

Since then, 11 Chinese military aircraft on the 11th, 10 on the 12th, and 13 on the 13th once crossed the middle line of the strait and staged an armed demonstration.

On the 14th, Chinese state media, 'Voice of the Straits', citing a military source, reported that "the Eastern Front of the People's Liberation Army of China is likely to organize a strong military counterattack in the seas and airspace around Taiwan during the US lawmakers' visit to Taiwan." I did.
