The consultant states that reports are now coming in from all over the county about a lot of mushrooms in the forests, including chanterelles.

- There are more people who have found more chanterelles, many who have never managed to find them before have found them this year, says Petra Wikström, who took SVT Nyheter Norrbotten's reporter out into the forests at Gäddvik outside Luleå.

In a short time, both edible mushrooms such as champignons, peppercorns, brick cremella and sand mushrooms were found here.

- The mushroom season looks good, it is in the starting pits.

She believes that we generally think more "green" today, both locally grown and environmentally friendly, and pick mushrooms and berries from the forest.

- Then I also think it's a covid effect, people have started to find their way out to the forests.
