German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will visit Montreal (Quebec), Toronto (Ontario) and Stevenville (Newfoundland and Labrador) from 21 to 23 August.
It is specified that during the visit, Scholz will discuss with Trudeau the situation in Ukraine, as well as issues of European and energy security.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky earlier in a conversation with Trudeau said that Ukrainians "will never accept Canada's decision regarding the turbine for Nord Stream."
Scholz came to the defense of the Canadian Prime Minister, who is being criticized for his decision to return the turbine to Gazprom.
