“I believe that the almost complete lack of water for millions of our citizens does not allow us to demand payment for water from the population... From March 1 to December 31, 2022, for residents of cities and regions of the DPR who receive water from the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal, payment for the water supply and sanitation service has been canceled,” he wrote in his Telegram.

At the same time, he stressed that those consumers, where there are no violations in the operation of water supply systems, keep paying, since the quality of the service has not changed.

“The losses of water supply companies will be fully subsidized from the state budget in the second half of 2022.

In this way, the collectives of these enterprises will be supported, including for the payment of wages to employees,” Pushilin said.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said that electricity and water supply in Mariupol would be restored in September.
