The work is part of the EU collaboration RescEU, where the aircraft are largely financed by the EU.

In total, two aircraft, three pilots, two technicians and two leaders have been sent down from Sweden.

- They must be able to be sent to different countries to be able to support when the countries' own resources are not enough, says Green.

- The first request is that we stay for three days, until Sunday.

Then it is the French authorities who decide whether they need more help, Green continues,

Green says that there is great uncertainty among the residents of the area.

- They wonder: "Will my house burn down?"

Will the village I live in still exist?”

Many are upset and sad, he says.
