Valencian Community A 59-year-old man drowns in the Manises dam while trying to save his daughter
A teenager has died after being dragged by water in the
Acequia Real del Júcar
, as it passes through the Valencian municipality of Guadassuar, according to the Provincial Firefighters Consortium.
The notice of the accident, of which
the causes and circumstances in which it occurred are unknown
, was received around eleven o'clock this Friday night.
The Consortium mobilized a search and rescue device to the area with the GERA Rescue Group of the Consortium, two firefighters from the Silla and Catarroja parks and Torrent and Alzira commandos.
After the minor was located, the
GERA troops had to access the water to extract
him to a safe area and the firefighters began cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers until the health media took over, which finally confirmed his death.
This is the second similar intervention by firefighters this week, after the day before, on Thursday, a
59-year-old man drowned
and his
15-year-old daughter was rescued
alive by troops in the Túria river, in the area of La Presa in Manises (Valencia), reports Europa Press.
