A cabinet reshuffle in Egypt includes 13 bags

The Egyptian House of Representatives, during its session today headed by Counselor Dr. Hanafi Gabali, approved a cabinet reshuffle in Dr. Mostafa Madbouly's government, which included 13 portfolios.

The amendment witnessed the appointment of Dr. Reda Hegazy as Minister of Education and Technical Education, Hani Atef Nabhan Swailem as Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Dr. Khaled Atef Abdel Ghaffar Mohamed as Minister of Health and Population, Muhammad Ayman Ahmed Ashour as Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Suha Samir as Minister of Immigration and Egyptians Abroad. Ahmed Issa Taha Issa Abu Hussein as Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Samir Saleh as Minister of Trade and Industry, Lieutenant-General Muhammad Abbas Helmy Hashem as Minister of Civil Aviation, Hassan Muhammad Hassan Shehata as Minister of Manpower, Nevin Youssef Muhammad al-Kilani as Minister of Culture, and Major General Hisham Abdel Ghani Abdel Aziz Amna as Minister For Local Development, Mahmoud Mustafa Kamal Esmat, Minister of Public Business Sector, and Mohamed Salah El-Din, Minister of Military Production.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi had stated on his official page on the social networking site “Facebook”, that he invited the House of Representatives today to convene to discuss the amendment of a number of ministerial portfolios that it was agreed to change after consulting with the Prime Minister, in order to develop government performance in some Important files, both internally and externally, that contribute to protecting the interests and capabilities of the state, and directly affect the services provided to the Egyptian citizen, for which we are all working.
