Anders Adelgren, who is the project coordinator at Torsås municipality, believes that they had hoped for a higher search pressure, and that the setback may be due to limited marketing and a new way of working.

- We do have certain channels that we can use when we market, i.e. social media, and it is also new for social services to work in this way.

Foundation finances the trip

The trip is financed, among other things, by the Irene and Bo Adolfsson foundation, which supports organizations that promote needy children and young people.

- Everyone who wants to have the opportunity to participate.

The price for the trip is 400 kroner and that in itself is very cheap, but 400 kroner for some is a lot of money.

That's why we sought money from the foundation and received a grant that allows us to offer this, says Anders Adelgren.

Subsidized travel

Among the children who need to pay for the trip themselves, there has been great interest.

Around 90 children have signed up and will travel to Gothenburg next week.

The price includes the journey there and home, as well as entrance and ropeway.

- We have come in with more than half of the costs for all participants.

But the fact that we go in and support the other target group more is nothing strange, we think, because it may be once in a lifetime that they get this opportunity, says Anders Adelgren.
