Third major water leak in Nyköping this summer - can take days to fix

The work on the leak is expected to be completely finished within a week, according to Madeleine Jansson, VA manager in Nyköping municipality. 

- We have pumped away all the water with the help of the rescue service, which is a prerequisite for us to be able to start digging and locate the leak, she says.

Traffic closed

Traffic between Brunnsgatan and Tolagsgatan is closed until the water leak is fixed.

It is the third major water leak in Nyköping this summer, and more money is needed to upgrade the network, says the VA manager.
