On August 11, Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin hosted a regular press conference.

A reporter asked: According to reports, Lithuanian Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Vaicukevichut led a delegation to Taiwan on August 7 for a five-day visit.

What is China's comment?

Wang Wenbin: We strongly condemn Lithuanian anti-China forces' deliberate violation of China's sovereignty and gross interference in China's internal affairs.

The one-China principle is the basic norm of international relations and the political basis for China to develop bilateral relations with all countries including Lithuania.

The joint communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Lithuania clearly states that the Lithuanian government recognizes that the government of the People's Republic of China is the sole legal government of China and that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory.

The Lithuanian government promises not to establish official relations and conduct official exchanges with Taiwan.

But Lifang has repeatedly broken its promises, which is blatant perfidy.

China will resolutely retaliate against the vicious provocation by the relevant personnel in Libia to challenge the one-China principle and undermine China's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

We urge the relevant personnel in Libia not to continue to act as pawns of "Taiwan independence" and anti-China forces, let alone go further and further down the wrong path.
