It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a statement on the website of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

“Violation of our obligations and deliberate provocation on the Taiwan issue can only further undermine the credibility of the United States.

The fight against more than 1.4 billion Chinese will never end well,” Wang Yi said.

He said the military exercise in response to US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taiwan is reasonable, rational, necessary and appropriate.

On August 2, the Chinese Ministry of Defense announced that the Chinese army would carry out a series of military measures as a countermeasure in response to Pelosi's visit to Taiwan.

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said China's military exercises near Taiwan are China's "sovereign right".

The Kremlin noted that tensions after Pelosi's visit to Taiwan would not subside quickly.
