China News Service, Beijing, August 11 (Reporter Zhang Su Xing Chong) Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin hosted a regular press conference on August 11.

A reporter asked: Recently, the China Society for Human Rights Research released a research report titled "The United States has committed serious human rights violations in the Middle East and other places".

What is the spokesperson's comment on this?

Wang Wenbin: This report systematically exposes the "three deadly crimes" of serious human rights violations committed by the United States in the Middle East and its surrounding areas.

The United States is to blame for the wars and conflicts in the Middle East and surrounding countries, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria and other places.

Second, compulsory reform and unilateral sanctions violate the right to development and the right to health.

The United States has incited "color revolutions" in many countries, implemented regime subversion, and indiscriminately imposed economic sanctions, causing economic decline and people's hardships in the countries concerned.

The third is to create a "clash of civilizations" and infringe upon the freedom of religious belief.

The United States creates and spreads the "Clash of Civilizations" and "Islamophobia", tortures Muslim prisoners, and smears and tarnishes the image of Islamic civilization in the Middle East.

The serious human rights violations committed by the United States in the Middle East have caused permanent harm and irreparable damage to the countries and peoples of the region.

Political analysts from many countries in the Middle East pointed out that for the United States, war is a tool of domination.

America's proxy wars provide a breeding ground for terrorist groups.

What the U.S. does is to destabilize other countries, insult and bully Middle Eastern countries in the name of democracy and human rights.

According to a poll by the Center for Arab Policy Research, 81% of Arabs believe that the United States' Middle East policy poses a threat to regional security and stability.

Jack Midgley, a former U.S. military adviser in Afghanistan, also admitted that decades of U.S. foreign wars have ignored the will of the local people and pushed American-style democracy, which has actually undermined democracy.

The American "New York Times" commented on the 20th anniversary of the war in Afghanistan, saying that the war launched by the United States has spawned many more terrorists than 20 years ago.

The hands of American politicians and war machines are stained with the blood of the people of the Middle East, and they are completely unqualified to call themselves "human rights defenders" and "human rights judges".

We call on more people in Middle Eastern countries to stand up and say no to the US hegemony and bullying.

We also call on the UN Human Rights Council and OHCHR to pay more attention to US human rights violations in the Middle East and other regions and take necessary action.
