According to the Public Health Agency's latest update on Thursday, the number of reported cases of covid-19 in the county was 308 last week.

The week before that the figure was 291 and another week back at 250.

Last week Sörmland had 103 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, an increase from week 30 when the county had 97 cases.

Increase during the summer

The increase has taken place over the next entire summer, with the exception of a measurement during week 27 when the number of infected dropped slightly.

Last week, Sörmland was in fifth place in terms of regions with the most infected people per 100,000 inhabitants.

One person is said to have died as a result of covid-19 during week 31.

Not all are tested

Since earlier this year, not everyone who has corona-like symptoms is tested.

- You have to bear in mind that it is not tested in the same way as before - so those numbers are only the tip of the iceberg, said Mikael Stenhem, Acting.
