The Russian Foreign Ministry expressed concern about the surge of violence in the conflict zone between Israel and Palestine

“Moscow is seriously concerned about a new surge of violence in the zone of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

We call on all parties involved to exercise maximum restraint,” the text reads.

The Russian side also stated the need to refrain from actions that could disrupt the agreements reached on August 7 on the regime of silence.

Earlier, UN Secretary-General António Guterres welcomed the decision to cease fire in the Gaza Strip and called on all parties to observe the regime of silence.
