Today, Wednesday, the trial begins against the 45-year-old woman accused of murder, who is suspected of having attacked a 50-year-old woman earlier this year. According to the indictment, the woman was attacked with a hammer and a kitchen knife in a parking lot in Upplands-Bro, north of Stockholm, and the injuries to the woman were so extensive that she died.
In police questioning, the 45-year-old woman has admitted that she attacked the woman, but said that she did not intend to kill her.
The two women were familiar with each other from before and had been work colleagues at a government agency.
