Ding Yifan, former deputy director and researcher of the World Development Institute of the Development Research Center of the State Council, recently stated in the China News Agency's "East-West Question·China Dialogue" that the United States' practice of forcing countries in the Asia-Pacific region to choose sides and even "decoupling" from China is unpopular.

He pointed out that on the one hand, "decoupling" from China will bring unbearable costs to these countries, and on the other hand, the United States is not ready to support the development of relevant countries.

In fact, China's non-coercive stance is more popular with countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
