According to WHO, 581,686,197 cases of coronavirus have been identified in the world so far.
The organization noted that the most cases of COVID-19 were registered in the United States - 90,706,508. India is in second place in terms of the number of detected cases (44,161,899), Brazil is in third (33,924,061).
Earlier, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Gennady Onishchenko recalled in a conversation with the FAN about the importance of revaccination against COVID-19.
He noted that there is an increase in the number of cases due to new variations of "omicron" BA.5 and BA.2, which are more contagious.
