  The reporter learned from the Ministry of Natural Resources that the tropical depression in the South China Sea has developed into the No. 7 typhoon "Mulan" this year this morning (9th). ) on the sea surface about 105 kilometers east-north, and will move west-north at a speed of 20-25 kilometers per hour, with a slight increase in intensity.

  The specific forecast is as follows: In terms of storm surge, due to the influence of this year's No. 7 typhoon "Mulan" (tropical storm level), it is expected that from the afternoon of August 9 to the afternoon of August 10, there will be 30 to 90 cm of storm surge along the coast of Shanwei, Guangdong to Zhanjiang. Water, storm surges of 30 to 60 centimeters will appear along the western and northern coasts of Hainan.

The storm surge warning levels of Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Zhongshan and Zhuhai in Guangdong are yellow; the storm surge warning levels of Huizhou, Yangjiang, Maoming, Hainan, Haikou and Dongfang are blue.

  Coastal governments and relevant departments are requested to make emergency preparations for storm surge defense; all relevant sea-related units take active and effective measures to organize fishing boats, fish farming rafts, farms, etc. to do a good job in defense work; strengthen coastal fishery and aquaculture facilities and fishing ports facilities, be prepared for moisture.

  In terms of waves, due to the influence of this year's No. 7 typhoon "Mulan" (tropical storm level), it is expected that from the night of August 9 to the day of the 10th, there will be 3.5 to 5 meters of large waves in the South China Sea. In the event of large to large waves of 3 to 4 meters, the wave warning level in the coastal waters is yellow; in the coastal waters of Hainan, there will be medium to large waves of 2 to 3 meters, and the wave warning level in the coastal waters is blue.

  Vessels operating in the above sea areas are requested to pay attention to safety, and relevant units along the coast shall take measures to prevent and avoid waves in advance.
