Nablus

- Today, Tuesday, was the last stop in the life of the Palestinian resistance, "Ibrahim Al-Nabulsi", in the city of Nablus, which he loved and adored, and he ransomed it with his blood and fulfilled his vow towards it when he said that he would not drop the rifle by surrender, and that he prefers to catch up with those who preceded him on the path of martyrdom among his resistance comrades.

The assassination of Nabulsi was described as complicated, as information collected by Al Jazeera Net from eyewitnesses and from various sources indicates that Israeli special forces stormed the Habla neighborhood in the Old City of Nablus in the northern West Bank at around six thirty in the morning, while the drones were roaming the city sky. intensely.

Special forces from the Al-Yamam unit in the occupation army surrounded the house located at the entrance to the neighborhood from the north side, then they surrounded the surrounding houses and sniper units topped the roofs of the buildings there, before being supported by large forces of the occupation army minutes later and surrounded the place and paralyzed the movement of citizens in the area the entirety.

For several hours, clashes took place between the besieged resistance fighters and those who supported them from other parties and locations, and the occupation forces who used live ammunition and wounded at least 40 Palestinians, including the three martyrs: Ibrahim al-Nabulsi, Islam Sabbouh, and the child Hussein Jamal Taha.

The researcher in Israeli affairs, Yasser Manna, says - to Al Jazeera Net - that the occupation used the "pressure cooker" system in the operation, which is based on "the siege, then the use of human shields, then the bombing of the place, and the end of the use of the bulldozer", which confirms that the occupation army actually used the missiles. The missile stormed the place and surrounded the pursued youths.

The Pursued Martyr

Here, in the city of Nablus, Ibrahim Alaa Al-Nablusi - nicknamed "Abu Fathi" - was born on October 13, 1999 to a Palestinian militant family. His mother is Huda Jarrar, who hails from the village of Arraba, south of Jenin, in the northern West Bank, and his uncle is a freed prisoner, and so are his uncles.

Since his childhood and early childhood, Nabulsi was known for his love of struggle and resistance, especially the resistance fighters in the old town, which he loved so much and grew up in, and lived there as a chaser like them, despite the fact that his family home is located far from it near the Nimr al-Nabulsi mosque in the northern mountain.

Nabulsi and his friends: Abd al-Hakim Shaheen, Adham Mabrouka, Muhammad al-Dakhil and Ashraf al-Mabsalt, formed the “Nablus Brigade,” similar to the Jenin Brigade, whose order was revealed to the Nabulsi Street to arrest the captive occupation, Abd al-Hakim (Abboud) Shaheen on November 15 in the Asira Street area, to become its members stalkers.

The occupation pursued the members of the battalion and assassinated the three: Al-Dakhil, Mabrouka and Al-Mubaslat on February 8, 2022. Al-Nabulsi was not with them because he was infected with the Corona virus, and the information says that the Israeli intelligence officer contacted him personally and promised him that he would be the next person to assassinate him.

biggest prominence

In 2020, it can be said that the occupation began to pursue Nabulsi and announce his name as one of the most wanted leaders of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades (the military wing of Fatah movement), as it launched various operations to liquidate or arrest him, but they failed, until he was martyred this morning.

This date also formed a detail in the life of Nabulsi, who insisted on taking up arms in the face of the occupation and continuing the path, so that his name reappeared after the assassination of the martyr Jamal Al-Kayyal early last December in the Ras Al-Ain neighborhood in Nablus.

revenge buddy

With the martyrdom of his three comrades, the resistance operations launched by Nabulsi and his comrades against the occupation began to unfold and became more and more intense, as they targeted towers, points and military checkpoints in a number of locations surrounding the city of Nablus, especially the Hawara checkpoints south of the city and the two points of Mount Gerizim and the village of Tel Al-Askaritin.

A month ago, Nabulsi became more famous in the media, when the Israeli occupation accused him, along with other resistance fighters, of shooting settlers and occupation soldiers storming Joseph’s tomb in the Balata al-Balad area, injuring 4 settlers and the commander of the Samaria Brigade in the occupation army, Roi Tsavage, who transmitted the Israeli media - according to Channel 13 Hebrew - that he was the one who went through the process of liquidating Nabulsi this morning.

On July 24, as part of its "breaking waves" operation launched by the occupation in late March to target resistance fighters accused of carrying out operations against the occupation army, the Israeli special forces assassinated the two martyrs, Muhammad Al-Azizi (Abu Saleh) and Abdel-Rahman Subuh (Aboud Subuh) after they stormed a house They and other wanted men were holed up in the Yasmina neighborhood, west of the old city of Nablus.

At that time, Nabulsi appeared in his military uniform and his personal weapon, mourning his companions, carrying their coffins, and threatening the occupation with its terrible silence, while the eyes were watching him and the mourners penetrated to see him.

People - young and old - began to trade his name as the most prominent fighter who would take upon himself to carry the trust and continue the path of resistance and "avenge his comrades".

And between this and that, and after each operation launched by the occupation army, Nabulsi was subjected to various attempts to lure and target from the occupation army, and he himself pursued suspicious people and vehicles several times, thinking that they were carrying Israeli special forces.

Al-Nabulsi is not fortified with anything more than his rifle, his simple uniform, and two rings adorning his fingers, one of which is written “Abu Fathi,” which is the nickname he was said to have given him after Nayef Abu Sharekh, the commander-in-chief of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, who was assassinated by Israel along with other resistance fighters in 2004, and perhaps his family name is “Al Nabulsi.” A big impact on his fame and the shine of his name as a resister.

The martyr enjoyed a high sense of security, and those who know him testify to that, and for this reason he escaped assassination twice. He avoided carrying mobile phones with him, and obtained information and the latest news from his comrades, and he benefited from the experience of the resistance fighters in the first intifada (the Stone Intifada in 1987) in a mechanism The transfer of information and the exchange of signals between the resistance fighters through “certain codes” transmitted by radio waves, and this fell on him and his companions, through modern applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and others. .

on the covenant

In his life, Nabulsi pledged - in a video clip previously published to him - to continue on the path of the martyrs, and refused to surrender under any circumstances, and he said, "The path I am walking on is my dream and the dream of all the Palestinian people to liberate Palestine."

And in his martyrdom, he kept the covenant and was martyred steadfastly and defying the occupation, refusing to respond to his request to “surrender himself,” and he did not forget to tell those who would come after him to continue the “trail of martyrs and resistance,” and to bury him alongside his three companions: Mabrouka, al-Dakhil and al-Mubaslat, in the eastern cemetery in Nablus, He had what he wanted.
