The Moscow City Court recognized as lawful the arrest of Assistant Interior Minister Sergei Umnov, ex-Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region Ivan Abakumov and Head of the UGIBDD of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region Alexei Semyonov in the case of abuse of power.
This was reported in the press service of the court.
“The court recognized as lawful the decision to choose a measure of restraint in the form of detention,” RIA Novosti reported.
On July 6, it became known that the Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested all the suspects in the case of abuses in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of St. Petersburg.
