It is with almost exactly one month left until the election that the Social Democrats called a press conference at the county hospital in Kalmar and promised that if they win the election this fall, they will invest 100 million on improved working conditions for the healthcare staff.

In the clip, S explains what the money will go to and answers where the money will be taken from.

- We need to reward our employees more, not least those who work inconvenient working hours and it should also pay off more to have a long experience and want to stay in the region by getting paid a little better, so the money should be used for that, says Mattias Adolfsson (S) regional council.

What had this investment meant for the staff in healthcare?

- This means that you can see that we continue to invest in wages and we make that priority before large tax cuts and privatisations.

We want to invest in welfare and our employees.
