This was stated by the press service of the Kremlin.

“The problems of functioning in the Russian Federation of an organization representing the interests of the Jewish agency Sokhnut were touched upon.

It was agreed that contacts on this matter will be continued through the relevant departments of both countries,” the statement says.

The parties also discussed bilateral relations and issues of the Jewish Diaspora.

The Kremlin called the conversation honest and frank.

Earlier, the Basmanny Court of Moscow announced that the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Justice for Moscow was asking to liquidate ANO Sokhnut.

On August 1, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov received the head of the Israeli interdepartmental delegation, Tamar Kaplan, who arrived in Moscow to hold consultations on the situation around the Sokhnut agency.
