A tragedy struck Montaigu.
A fire in an industrial zone in this city of Vendée caused one death and two minor injuries, a firefighter and an employee.
“The deceased is a young apprentice.
There is a lightly injured employee, a lightly injured firefighter transported to hospital and five employees who received psychological help, ”said the Vendée prefecture on Monday.
About 80 firefighters mobilized
Three companies were affected by this fire which started at the end of the afternoon and which was brought under control in the evening.
The fire mobilized around 80 firefighters and around twenty gendarmes to secure the area, according to the same source.
