It was during Sunday that Ebba Busch (KD) gave her summer speech and showed a map of Sweden.

She then pointed out Skellefteå and Lycksele as maternity units that are currently threatened with closure.

Watch the video above.

Riksdag candidate Betty-Ann Nilsson (KD) in Lycksele believes that this is not true.

This is reported by P4 Västerbotten.

However, Betty-Ann Nilsson in Lycksele describes the situation in Lycksele as worrying.

- We simply lack midwives and we need a better working environment, she tells P4 Västerbotten.

- Skellefteå is an expanding municipality, so that clinic will always remain, there is nothing else on our world map when it comes to the regional part.

KD's press manager: "Needs reinforcement"

BB in Lycksele has been closed for three weeks during the summer because the region has not managed to solve the staffing of midwives.

The Christian Democrats' press manager Sabina Bernhardsson comments on Busch's statements as follows:

"We have identified maternity clinics that would need reinforcement to avoid the threat of closure in the future or to secure future operations, among other things in consultation with our regional councils.

It is common knowledge that there have been problems and shortcomings in several parts of the country.

With so many closed maternity units in recent years, there is great concern.

Skellefteå is such an example," she writes in an email to TT.
