Nutrition experts are constantly advised to pay attention to breakfast because of its importance in maintaining a healthy balance of the body, while they warn of wrong habits that will contribute to slowing the metabolism process and consequently weight gain and the appearance of the rumen. What are these habits?

Metabolism is always associated with the ability to manage or lose weight.

The body begins to work with the first bite you take or a sip of a drink at the beginning of the day, and then converts these substances into energy.

But it is very necessary to know how to maintain the metabolism at a healthy level so that the results are satisfactory, away from feeling tired and exhausted.

Nutrition experts always advise eating breakfast because of its importance in the metabolism process, according to a report in "Deutsche Welle" (Deutsche Welle).

Some specialists point to some common wrong habits that may slow down the metabolism, including:

Skipping breakfast

"A lot of people think that skipping breakfast contributes to weight loss, but that's not entirely true," says nutritionist Amy Goodson.

The metabolism process is like fire, she says, to start burning, you have to ignite it.

To keep it burning you should add small amounts of wood every two hours.

The same is true of the metabolism process.

Start in the morning with a high-carb and high-fiber protein, then add small and light meals throughout the day to keep the fire burning.

Eat added sugar

Studies have shown that eating added sugar in the morning, especially in drinks, causes blood sugar to rise suddenly and fall quickly, which slows down the metabolism and therefore weight gain, along with other health problems.

Dr. Lisa Young advises to stay away from foods and drinks that contain added sugar, and to have a healthy breakfast rich in protein and healthy carbohydrates such as omelette, along with vegetables, tomatoes, avocados and whole grain bread.

Eat only carbohydrates

Goodson cautions against eating carbohydrates — such as white bread and white rice — that often cause blood sugar to rise and fall quickly, such as added sugar.

This leaves you with low energy stores and thus feeling tired, craving sugar and hungry for the rest of the day.

Not drinking enough water

This is very wrong because when the body becomes dehydrated, the metabolism slows down.

That's why make sure you have enough water or natural juice with breakfast.
