In the cabinet reshuffle to be held on the 10th, Prime Minister Kishida confirmed his intention to retain Daishiro Yamagiwa, the minister in charge of economic revitalization, who is in charge of measures against the new corona in the Aso faction of the Liberal Democratic Party.

Mr. Yamagiwa was 53 years old after being elected six times in the 18th district of the House of Representatives in Kanagawa.

He belongs to the Aso faction of the Liberal Democratic Party.

After working as a veterinarian, he was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2003.

With the inauguration of the Kishida Cabinet last October, he entered the cabinet for the first time as the minister in charge of economic revitalization and has been working to realize a "new capitalism."

As Minister of State for Covid-19 Countermeasures, he has also worked to promote policies that balance socioeconomic activities and prevent the spread of infection.

Furthermore, starting this month, he will also serve as the Minister for Startups, playing the role of a control tower that strengthens support for start-up companies that create innovative businesses for economic growth and the resolution of social issues.

As Prime Minister Kishida, as the number of people infected with the new corona spreads nationwide, it seems that the aim is to emphasize the continuity of measures and to accelerate efforts to realize a new capitalism.
