It is reported by Globo with reference to the plan of national counteraction to this disease developed by the department.

According to the publication, the 31-page document contains guidelines for state and city health departments on the prevention, treatment and eradication of the disease.

In particular, they provide recommendations on the establishment of a quarantine regime in case of detection of suspicious cases, and indicate measures aimed at informing and diagnosing the population.

In total, about 2.3 thousand cases of monkeypox have been recorded in Brazil. 

On July 29, the Brazilian Ministry of Health recorded the country's first case of death of a patient with monkeypox.
