Three of them are still in Jordan or the West Bank.

An intolerable situation, according to the lawyer for the families of the victims.

40 years ago to the day, the attack on rue des Rosiers plunged the historic Jewish quarter of Paris into mourning.

On August 9, 1982, a commando targeted the emblematic restaurant "Jo Goldenberg", killing six and injuring 22.

No trial has yet taken place but four men are suspected of having been part of the commando.

One was extradited to France a year and a half ago.

He is a 63-year-old Palestinian, naturalized Norwegian, who claims his innocence.

"Jordan does not have the attitude we would expect"

The other three, including the alleged mastermind of the attack, are still in Jordan or the West Bank, despite international arrest warrants.

"It is clear that Jordan does not have, in this affair, the attitude that one would be entitled to expect from a country which intends to fight against terrorism within the international community", estimates on Europe 1 Master Francis Szpiner, lawyer for the families of victims of the attack.

"As for the attitude of the Palestinian Authority, it is less surprising since, within the Palestinian Authority, there are people who, deep down, have always condoned this type of attack. This attack is an anti-Semitic attack. We attacked people, civilians, in the heart of Paris, in a symbol of the Jewish community. And that corresponds to the philosophy of certain Palestinian fractions which still have influence in Ramallah" .
