Agents of the National Police have recovered this Monday in Madrid a chant
missal
entitled "INCIPIT LIBER" dating from
the 16th century
and that was lost by its owner inside a central Madrid parking lot.
As reported by the National Police in a statement, the work consists of
121 pages printed on parchment
that are dated
1526
and belong to a woman who runs a business dedicated to old books, who reported its loss by formulating the complaint and starting to the investigation.
Apparently, the complainant indicated that the old piece must have been dropped in the parking lot in an oversight and, after various steps, the agents analyzed all the vehicles that had left the parking lot during the limited time slot.
Finally, they proved that one of them
had acted suspiciously
.
For this reason, they located his owner and interviewed him, who indicated that he had found the book lying on the ground and had taken it to his home.
Specifically, the agents seized the song missal INCIPIT LIBER, processionarius secundum consuetudinem ordinis sancti patris nostrí Hieronymi' and delivered it to its rightful owner as a deposit.
