A senior diplomatic official in the European Union told reporters yesterday that the European Union has put forward a "final" text to revive the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.

"Today we are putting forward a text that is final," the official added in a briefing to reporters at the conclusion of the talks on reviving the nuclear deal, which lasted for four days in Vienna.

The European diplomat explained that the talks ended with preparing a text that will be presented by the EU's external relations official, Josep Borrell, to the capitals of the countries concerned. "Now you have to say yes or no," noting that there is no longer anything else that can be negotiated.

He described what was reached in the talks as "a very good compromise solution for all concerned."

The European diplomat stated that he expected a response to the outcome of the negotiations, which lasted for nearly two years, "in a few weeks, very, very few weeks."

Yesterday, the official Iranian news agency reported that Iranian negotiators participating in the nuclear talks will return to Tehran from Vienna after indirect talks with Washington that lasted for several days aimed at reviving the nuclear deal.

The agency added that the consultations will continue with the coordinator of the talks and other parties.
