The woman was reported missing on the night of September 25 last year.

That same night, her husband was arrested and later detained on suspicion of kidnapping.

After several interrogations over a period of two months, the man told where the woman was - he had buried her in a forest area in Bökeberg in Svedala.

- These are two people who previously lived together and have children.

The woman wanted to leave the man and has also done so and it was something that he was not happy with, said prosecutor Kristina Amilon about the motive after she submitted the indictment.

Admit but deny

The woman had filed for divorce from her husband before her death.

She had also reported him for assault and had a restraining order denied by the court.

The man has admitted in questioning that he caused the woman's death but denies that it was murder.

In addition to murder, the husband is also charged with an assault that allegedly took place the year before the woman disappeared, breach of the peace of mind for burying the woman and serious breach of child protection as the couple's common son allegedly overheard when his mother died.
