As stated in the message on the Kremlin website, the conversation took place on the initiative of the Armenian side.

The parties discussed the development of the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh and issues of ensuring security on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

“In this context, the importance of implementing all the provisions of the agreements between the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan dated November 9, 2020, January 11 and November 26, 2021 was confirmed,” the Kremlin said.

On August 4, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that four cases of ceasefire violations in Nagorno-Karabakh were recorded in a day, the incidents were settled with the help of a peacekeeping contingent.
