“The UN Security Council will meet to discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip on Monday,” the source said.
According to him, the meeting was initiated by the United Arab Emirates, China, France, Ireland and Norway.
On August 5, Israel announced Operation Dawn against Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip.
A state of emergency has been declared along the 80-kilometer border between Israel and the enclave.
Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said that Israel will increase the intensity of the operation in the Gaza Strip.
